If you weren’t looking out for it, you could quite easily drive past Millbridge Court, nestled in the heart of the Surrey countryside. Surrounded by rolling hills and mature greenery, this elegant wedding venue blends so seamlessly into the landscape, it feels like a well-kept secret. But once discovered, it leaves an impression you won’t soon forget.
An Elegant Countryside Welcome
I first had the pleasure of visiting Millbridge Court as a wedding guest back in August 2022. Even then, I remember thinking how effortlessly the space held the energy of the day—joyful, calm, and full of heart. Returning this spring in my role as a wedding celebrant, I was reminded once again just how special this venue is. Millbridge Court isn’t just beautiful—it is designed with love.
As I arrived, the sun was shining and I was warmly greeted by Chloe from the events team. Chloe was not only incredibly welcoming but also deeply passionate about the venue and the weddings they host—something that always fills me with excitement, as it’s such a good sign that couples are in the very best hands.
The front of Millbridge Court resembles a large countryside home—understated in the most charming way. It instantly creates a comforting, homely feel, which is beautifully contrasted by the grandeur that lies just beyond its front doors. Chloe and I began with a cuppa (of course!) in their sun-drenched alternative reception area, filled with plush seating, a luxurious open-plan kitchen, and my absolute favourite detail—a bay window. The scent of a glowing Neom candle filled the space, making it feel every bit as luxurious as it was welcoming.
Spaces Designed for Real Celebrations
Chloe showed me around the venue and shared some exciting renovation plans in the works. It’s clear that Millbridge Court continues to evolve with thought and intention, keeping couples front and centre in every design decision.
From the rear of the venue, two striking halls await—one for your wedding ceremony (which later becomes your dance floor and bar) and the other for your wedding breakfast. With stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, these light-filled rooms create an atmosphere that’s both grand and relaxed. The sunlight spills in across warm wooden floors, creating the perfect environment for meaningful vows and joyful toasts.
Just outside is a charming patio area with rustic seating and soft greenery, a perfect in-between space for guests to sip, chat, and soak up the atmosphere. The flow from ceremony to celebration is seamless here, and every corner feels thoughtfully considered. The sweeping gardens are hard to miss with outdoor pizza oven tucked neatly in the corner, perfect for the late night wedding munchies!
Outdoor Magic and Hidden Retreats
One of my favourite areas at Millbridge Court is the outdoor ceremony space. While open to the sky, it still feels incredibly private, thanks to high hedging and the stunning wooden arch that provides a beautiful focal point for “I do’s.” It’s the kind of place where heartfelt words feel even more powerful.
And then came the real showstopper—the couple’s suite and without a doubt my absolute favourite part of Millbridge Court. Tucked away down a short path, this little cottage is nothing short of magical. Complete with a freestanding copper bath, log burner, French windows, and a private deck, it’s a dreamy escape for newlyweds to unwind and soak in those just-married feelings. It’s peaceful, romantic, and so thoughtfully designed, I imagine most couples never want to leave…I certainly didn’t!
Millbridge Court also offers a separate space for the groom to get ready, styled in the same warm yet luxurious fashion. With exposed brick, a bamboo bar, and quirky touches, it’s every bit as stylish as the main venue.
