Hi! I’m Emily (you can call me Em) - a Surrey-based independent wedding celebrant creating and delivering personalised ceremonies brewed to perfection. I work with couples across Surrey (including Guildford, Epsom, Farnham, Reigate and more), as well as London and beyond.
I will handle your love story with the care it deserves and I will lovingly embrace all the details so that your wedding ceremony is just your cuppa tea!

Whilst I adore working with couples to create their wedding ceremony of dreams, I also offer other celebrant services including baby naming and vow renewals.

Personalised ceremonies brewed to perfection
Working with me as your wedding celebrant is a bit like making the perfect cuppa - it starts with listening. I take the time to get to know you both and what you have in mind for your wedding ceremony. Some couples want something strong and traditional, others prefer a relaxed, modern blend. Together we create a bespoke wedding ceremony that suits you perfectly.
How creating your dream wedding ceremony works:

First things first, contact me to arrange a cuppa. This is a no-obligation meeting where we will chat all about your hopes and dreams for your wedding ceremony. We’ll talk about how you want your wedding ceremony to feel for yourselves and your guests, if you would like to include any rituals and so much more. We’ll chat about what working with me as your wedding celebrant includes. After our cuppa, I will hold your wedding date for 7 days. If you decide I’m the wedding celebrant for you, we get you booked in - YAY! You will be required to pay 50% of the final fee and return the service agreement to secure your wedding date. I will then send you a cheeky welcome gift to help you with all that wedding planning.

Once you’re all booked in, I will set up a WhatsApp group with you both and you will gain access to the Couples Zone on my website. 6 months before your wedding, I will send you a couple of questionnaires to complete. The first questionnaire focuses on the more practical details such as who will be in your wedding party, who will deliver a reading, and other wedding supplier details etc. The second questionnaire is where you can really get stuck in. As a wedding celebrant, I want to know all the juicy details and the more tea you spill the more personal I can make your wedding ceremony. 12 weeks before your wedding ceremony, the remainder of my fee is due and once this is received, along with your completed questionnaires, I will get to work on your wedding ceremony. When the first draft is ready, I will meet with you again to go through your wedding ceremony. This is so that you can hear how your wedding ceremony will be delivered on the day and you can of course make any adjustments you wish. Around this time I will also offer you a vow writing tutorial. Once you are 100% happy with your ceremony I will rehearse so that it goes without a hitch on your special day.

The finished product - the big day finally arrives and you can feel at ease knowing I will be there with nice and early. I will pop in to have a chat with yourselves, anyone else involved in the ceremony and other wedding suppliers to make sure the highlight moments of your wedding ceremony are captured. AND when the time comes, I will be there at the end of the aisle waiting for you with a beaming smile and most importantly I will deliver your personalised wedding ceremony with warmth, joy and of course - love! Following your ceremony, you will receive a post-ceremony gift and I will stay in touch for as long as you want me to!

My fee includes the full shebang, however, there may be an additional charge for travel beyond 1 hour from my home in Sutton and/or accommodation if required, which we can discuss in more detail over a brew.

Access to a password protected part of my website with lots of useful resources which will help you to think about your wedding ceremony in more detail (including a personal vow writing guide)
Two questionnaires (one for ceremony details, one for all the lovely stuff - these, along with any meetings, are what I use to create your personalised wedding ceremony)
A wedding ceremony workshop where we go through the first draft and make tweaks and edits as you wish
A vow writing tutorial (optional)
Handmade personal vow and reading books - each one made with love, of course
Lots of practise on my side to make sure your wedding ceremony runs smoothly
Extra meetings for a rehearsal/anyone doing a reading etc.
On the day, I arrive nice and early, will check in with you and your suppliers and anyone else involved in your wedding ceremony
After your ceremony, you will receive a lovely little gift and I will stay in touch for as long as you want me to!

What is the best way to celebrate the arrival of your little one and the beautiful journey you’re embarking on together as parents? A baby naming ceremony of course! Together, we will create a bespoke baby naming ceremony which reflects your special little family. Every detail will be tailored, ensuring the day is filled with love, joy and cherished memories.

You may be lucky enough to have a friend or family member who would make a great celebrant for the day. If so, I offer a ceremony script writing service for all ceremonies I offer (weddings, vow renewals and baby naming). Whilst I would love to be there in person and deliver the words I have written specifically for you, I appreciate that there is sentiment in someone close delivering your ceremony.
The steps for this service are the same for couples choosing me to deliver their ceremony. I will meet with you for a virtual cuppa, send you questionnaires, write your personalised ceremony script, meet again with yourselves to discuss the ceremony script and then instead of coming on the day, I offer one more meeting – this is with the person who will be delivering the script.
