Hi! I’m Emily (you can call me Em), Surrey wedding celebrant, creating and delivering wedding ceremonies made with love in Surrey, London and beyond.

A friendly face at the end of the aisle, not only do I create and deliver beautifully personalised wedding ceremonies with warmth, love and joy but I also offer you all the comfort of a cup of tea in what can be an overwhelming experience – planning a wedding!

Your wedding ceremony is at the very heart of your wedding day. Every word spoken should be carefully considered and deeply resonate with you as a couple, capturing the essence of your relationship. I will handle your love story with the care, lovingly embracing the details so that your wedding ceremony is truly representative of you as a couple. Your wedding ceremony is in safe hands with me as your wedding celebrant.

Get to know your Surrey wedding celebrant

If it wasn’t obvious already, this Surrey wedding celebrant loves a cuppa! I love everything a mug of tea encompasses; warmth, a good gossip with an old friend, a comfort blanket on rainy days, a member of the 6am club and a sidekick to my laptop. As well as adoring tea, I do rather like my husband and little girl. My dog, Freddie the cavapoo, is also kind of great.

I have an unhealthy addiction to Oliver Bonas and occasionally frequent a yoga studio. I love big frilly collars, independent cafes and cobbled streets – is there anything more quaint?

My very own wedding ceremony was led by a wedding celebrant and I fell in love with the freedom we had to create a wedding ceremony that was so completely us. I immediately wanted more couples to experience what I had – a wedding ceremony which is absolutely their cup of tea!

How it works…

Step 1: Spill the tea

First things first, contact me to arrange a virtual cuppa. This is a no-obligation online consultation where we will chat all your hopes and dreams for your wedding ceremony. We’ll talk about how you want your wedding ceremony to feel for yourselves and your guests, if you would like to include any rituals and so much more. We’ll chat about what working with me as your wedding celebrant includes and if you decide I’m the wedding celebrant for you, we get you booked in. YAY! You will be required to pay 50% of the final fee to secure the date.

Step 2: Brewing your ceremony

Once you’re all booked in, nearer to the wedding, you will be asked to complete a couple of questionnaires. The first questionnaire focuses on details such as who will be in your wedding party, who will deliver a reading, other wedding supplier details etc. The second questionnaire is where you can really get stuck in. As a wedding celebrant, I want to know all the juicy details and the more tea you spill the more personal I can make your wedding ceremony. Using what I learn from these questionnaires as well as notes from our virtual cuppa, I will create a wedding ceremony script which is so completely your cup of tea. You are then presented with the script for your wedding ceremony, I can either deliver this live or you can read though it yourselves at your own leisure with a cuppa of course! Fingers crossed you love your personalised wedding ceremony but if it isn’t quite right, we can edit and adjust it until you are 100% happy.

Step 3: The perfect blend

The finished product - the big day finally arrives and you can feel at ease knowing I will be there with bells on (not literally!). I will arrive nice and early, pop in to have a chat with yourselves, any readings and other wedding suppliers. I will make sure everyone knows what they are doing and the highlight moments of your wedding ceremony are captured. I will be there at the end of the aisle waiting for you with a beaming smile and most importantly will deliver your personalised wedding ceremony with love, warmth and joy.

As your wedding celebrant, I will spend time getting to know you as a couple. I love the crumbs - that means telling me the ups and the downs of your relationship, what makes you the couple you are today as well as all the details for your wedding ceremony of dreams.

I will create and deliver a wedding ceremony made with love of course! From what I have learnt about you, through our meetings and your questionnaires, I will dedicate time to crafting a wedding ceremony which is totally you. This can be amended further with your input and can include personal elements and rituals to suit your quirks.
I can help and advise with vows and readings. I can help you source readings and I can offer you support to those reading on your big day. Check out my blog post on alternative wedding readings.
I will stay in touch from the moment you book me to the moment you say ‘we do’ and beyond…usually until the canapes run out! (joking!)
I will liaise with your other wedding suppliers and wedding planner (if you have one), ensuring your wedding ceremony goes without a hitch and that your personalised moments are captured.
My fee includes travel within one hour of my home in Sutton, Surrey (I am willing to travel further afield, travel expenses will be charged accordingly).
Last but not least, I am a friendly face at the end of the aisle. As comforting as the mug of tea we shared when we first met, I will be there with a warm smile to guide you through your wedding ceremony. Let’s do this! Book your virtual cuppa here or complete the form below.
